#gobaseball was created at the College World Series in 2013 as a way for us to applaud an opponent’s or rival’s great effort on the field without actually having to cheer for them.
For example, your team down by two…they are up to bat with two outs…your leadoff is on…your big hitter is up…he swings and connects…the ball flies to what looks like a gap in the outfield…everyone is sprinting…but then the outfielder makes a spectacular catch. You want to be mad, but you also appreciate the effort. You clap. You yell, “Go Baseball.”
You can also you the saying when you are just watching a game where you don’t have a particular interest in the outcome. Two random teams playing at the College World Series game you bought tickets to two months ago? No problem! Wait to be amazed and shout, “Go Baseball!”
#gobaseball is about appreciating the art, the science, and the mental game behind the sport. It’s recognizing that amazing things happen everyday this game is played.

It’s about encouraging others to keep going, and to keep the interest in the sport going too.
